There is one season when gravel biking around Oirschot is truly at its best, and that is now. The summer crowds are gone, the sandy paths are firm from the first rain, and the forests around Buitengoed de Bollen are slowly turning from green to gold. Step out of your tiny house in the morning, and within a few minutes you\u2019ll be rolling along unpaved roads towards the heath and forest. No car, no bike rack, just hop on and go.<\/p>\n

Why Oirschot is a gravel paradise<\/h2>\n

Oirschot is situated exactly where Brabant still has space. To the north of our country estate lie the Kampina and the Oirschotse Heide, and to the south the forests and estates towards Gorp and Roovert. What that means for gravel riders: kilometers of semi-paved paths, sandy tracks between meadows, forest paths with soft needles, and occasionally a stretch of cobblestones or an old brick road through a hamlet. It is never flat and boring, and never technically difficult. Exactly the kind of surface a gravel bike is made for.<\/p>\n

And because we are centrally located between Eindhoven, Tilburg, and Den Bosch, you can go in any direction. A 40-kilometer loop across the heath? Possible. A long day towards the Belgian border?
